Gazaro tracks prices on electronics products in near real-time from online and brick & mortar retailers using a patent-pending artificial intelligence system to identify the best buying opportunities. The Gazaro website lists recently uncovered deals, product price trends, and provides real-time alerts on electronics products. The Gazaro iPhone application adds scanning product barcodes (UPCs) to get price trends and analytics on products from nearby retailers.

Brian Joe, CEO, Apption Corporation
Brian Joe is the CEO of Apption, a boutique firm specializing in modernizing government and enterprise infrastructures using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Apption has garnered strong industry recognition, including being named to Profit Magazine’s Hot 50 list of the fastest growing companies by revenue for both 2008 and 2009.
Brian has over 20 years of successful experience in software product development, marketing, leadership, and entrepreneurial roles for numerous high tech companies. Brian has held senior executive positions with Nortel, Newbridge, March Networks, and has successfully led several technology startups. As a principal with Infopreneur Inc, an industry-leading Internet software application company, he helped grow the company and led its acquisition by March Networks in 2001. Brian was also the founder and CEO of NewStep Networks, an IP telephony company that develops carrier-grade software platforms now deployed in major service provider networks.
He holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Queen’s University, and an MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University.
Zoltan Szaplonczay, CTO, Wesley Clover
Zoltan is the Chief Technology Officer for Wesley Clover, working with portfolio companies in their strategic and technical directions, and also in finding, qualifying and bringing to closure new opportunities for the portfolio. He also focuses on sector-oriented solutions for combinations of Wesley Clover companies’ products, in conjunction with external partners dependent upon the specific solution.
Prior to Wesley Clover Zoltan worked for Alcatel, Newbridge Networks and Nortel. Most recently his focus has been in the networking area with Alcatel, in product management and marketing as well as partnerships and acquisitions. He is an advisor to a number of Web 2.0, new media and Wesley Clover portfolio companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
Paul Lem, M.D., Founder, Spartan Bioscience
Prior to joining Spartan, Paul was VP Product Management at DNA Genotek, where he led commercialization of the Oragene™ DNA collection device. Prior to that, he raised venture capital and started up Plexagen Diagnostics to commercialize his invention of a universal multiplex PCR technology. Paul holds a B.Sc. in Human Biology from the University of Toronto and a Medical Degree from the University of Ottawa.
